At geoFluxus, we help companies and governments make smart, sustainable choices during their transition to a circular economy. For governments, we developed the world's first digital circular economy monitor and follow it up with additional data insights and concrete policy perspectives. For companies, our platform converts complex waste and materials data into actionable insights, enabling organizations to improve their waste management and sustainability performance and meet reporting requirements such as the CSRD.
As a Circularity Expert, you play a key role in our work specifically for governments, analyzing and translating data into concrete advice and strategies. This is how we work together towards a greener future. Will you join us?
Job Description
As a Circular Economy Expert, you are the substantive sparring partner for our government clients. You analyze their waste and materials data, extract the most important and interesting points and translate this into clear advice and circular strategies.
Your work is where data analysis and sustainability come together: you help governments to better understand and smartly use their data so that they achieve their circular goals and meet reporting requirements. You combine your sharp analyses with an accessible way of communicating, clients therefore enjoy working with you.
- Analyze customer data (especially from governments) on waste and material streams: understand what is happening, what the improvement opportunities are, and which floors may be of interest.
- Recognize where data is missing and work with the client to create a better and more complete data view.
- Translate analyses into visualizations, clear advice and circular strategies based on best practices.
- Answering customer questions and guiding customers in understanding their data and completing circular economy policies.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to share insights and build support.
- Identify trends and new developments in (regulations of) circularity, waste management and sustainability reporting and apply them in your work.
- Strong analytical skills and the motivation to make sense of complex data and turn it into actionable insights.
- Skilled in working with large data sets and recognizing patterns; experience with Excel is required, experience with Python is a plus.
- Theoretical knowledge of waste streams, processing and circularity. Experience with sustainability reporting (such as CSRD and ESRS E5) is a plus.
- Familiarity with EWC (EURAL) codes, waste classification or reporting standards is a plus.
- You are curious and pragmatic: you think about solutions that are both creative and feasible.
- You know how to explain complex concepts understandably and have an eye for how data can best be communicated and visualized.
- You can work independently and in a structured way and keep an overview of complex issues.
- Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
- A 36-hour work week, with Fridays off every other week - with no impact on your salary.
- A hybrid work structure: Wednesday through Friday at our Rotterdam office, the rest of the week you work wherever you want - at home or in the office.
- An NS business card.
- Minimum of 5 weeks vacation, with the flexibility to take more if needed.
- Quarterly offsite, in the Netherlands or abroad, to plan, brainstorm and get to know each other better.
- A dynamic and fast-growing work environment, where you can help build the company and make a real difference.
