As a Frontend Developer, you will play a crucial role in shaping and bringing our products to life.
Job Description
Are you a creative thinker who excels in ReactJS? Do you get energy from turning technical challenges into interactive and functional solutions? We're looking for a Frontend Developer to join our tech team, where your ideas can have immediate and significant impact.
In this role, you'll translate UX/UI designs from Figma into our React application. This platform simplifies complex waste data into actionable insights, with interactive maps, data visualizations and analytics about waste. You'll work closely with our backend developer, bridging the gap between design and implementation while ensuring a seamless user experience.
On a typical day, you'll participate in team meetings, write code, conduct research, collaborate with various teams, brainstorm, and stay on top of the latest industry trends. This role requires curiosity, flexibility and a hands-on approach.
If you're passionate about user experience, data visualizations and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you.
- Develop and implement new user-centric features based on UX/UI designs.
- Assess and ensure feasibility of design concepts from a technical point of view.
- Write clean, efficient and maintainable code, and build reusable components.
- Work closely with our backend developer to integrate front-end features with REST APIs.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimal user experience.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to align project goals and deliverables.
- Demonstrated experience as a Front-End Developer with a strong portfolio of previous projects.
- Skill in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS.
- Good understanding of design systems (experience with Ant Design is a plus).
- Familiarity with asynchronous request handling, state and context management.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Independent and proactive with the ability to manage own tasks.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Knowledge of UX/UI design principles.
- Experience with web analytics tools (e.g. Posthog, Matomo).
- Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Nivo, D3.js).
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Experience in testing React components.
- Competitive salary; your salary and bonuses will grow with the success of the company.
- You will not only benefit from our growth, but also help shape the future of geoFluxus!
- Traveling becomes easy with your NS business card.
- We offer a minimum of 20 vacation days per year for full-time employees, with no maximum limit. We want our team to be happy and healthy, so if you need vacation, we won't stop you!
- We work from our office in Rotterdam from Wednesday to Friday.
- Every quarter we organize an inspiring team outing, both in the Netherlands and abroad, where we plan, brainstorm and get to know each other better.
