Job Description
Are you a creative thinker with a talent for ReactJS? Do you get energy from turning technical challenges into interactive and functional solutions? We are looking for a Frontend Developer to join our Tech team, where your ideas have immediate impact.
In this role, you will translate UX/UI designs from Figma into our React application. Our platform simplifies complex waste data and provides interactive maps, data visualizations and analytics. You will work in a small tech team and bridge the gap between design and implementation, aiming for a smooth user experience. We're looking for someone who works independently and finds creative solutions to complex issues.
On an average workday, you'll participate in team stand-ups, write code, conduct research, collaborate with colleagues, brainstorm, and stay abreast of industry trends. We are looking for someone who is independent, curious, flexible and likes to roll up their sleeves.

- Develop and implement new user functionality based on UX/UI designs.
- Assess and optimize technical feasibility of designs.
- Write clean, efficient and easy to maintain code, and build reusable components.
- Work closely with our backend developer to integrate front-end features with REST APIs.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimal user experience.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to align project goals and deliverables.
- Demonstrated experience as a Front-End Developer with a strong portfolio of previous projects.
- Skill in ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Good understanding of design systems (experience with Ant Design is a plus).
- Familiarity with asynchronous request handling, state and context management.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Independent and proactive with the ability to manage own tasks.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Knowledge of UX/UI design principles.
- Experience with web analytics tools (e.g. Posthog).
- Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Nivo, D3.js).
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Experience in testing React components.

Language and office
Excellent command of the English language is required for effective communication within our international team. Our team combines working from home and working from our office in Rotterdam next to central station. Ideally we will see you every week in our Rotterdam office, but we are also open to candidates from Europe as long as they work in the same time zone. Unfortunately we cannot offer visas or sponsorship.
